Martin Scorsese says Warner Bros. wanted a "The Departed 2." He said executives wanted either DiCaprio's or Damon's character to survive the end of the film. "What they wanted was a franchise," Scorsese told GQ. "It wasn't about a moral issue of a person living or dying."
