Second Beach Early Sunset

Now that I have my Washington photos done, it's time to move on to my Washington photos. Capisce?

Anyway - the main purpose of our trip was to cover the third of Washington State's three national parks - Olympic. After visiting North Cascades and Mt. Rainier in May, we covered mighty Olympic in glorious fall color - of which there was none. But at least we got the only American rain forests in the rain. Uh, actually we did not. Well, Olympic's fantastic beaches in the fog? Yes - plenty of that. Except for one night. And on that night - a Thursday to be precise - we had a most glorious sunset.

There are at least ten primary beaches within Olympic. Some have real names and some have numbers. From south to north the y are South, 1, 2, 3, 4, Ruby, Third, Second, First, and Rialto. I'd like a word with the person or persons who named these beaches but... Second was my favorite, although I was heavily influenced by the light and the sea stacks. So fair is fair.
